Global Warming, Ecological Footprints, and Food:

How Our Food Choices Affect Us All

Sunday, March 30 from 1:00 pm- 2:00 pm

If you eat the standard American diet, the food you eat probably has more impact on the environment than the car you drive. A recent major United Nations report found that the worldwide food industry and livestock operations in particular contribute more global warming gases than the entire transportation sector. Come find out how what you eat affects our land, our air, our water, and the species diversity on our planet. Peter will examine how eating low on the food chain, eating organic, eating seasonal, and eating local can affect our ecological footprints.
