SWAN Day (Support Women Artists Now Day)

Saturday, March 29

Showcase:  2:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Connector Hall, Between E and D Hall

Come be a part of history as the Energy Trust Better Living Show hosts Portland’s first-ever International “Support Women Artists Now” (SWAN) Day with women artists and art lovers from around Portland on Saturday, March 29th from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Members of Portland's female creative networking group, pdxcreativeXchange, are organizing a free showcase of Portland-based artists and performances as part of a world-wide celebration of women at the first ever international "Support Women Artists Now Day" (SWAN Day).  This event raises visibility for women artists – specifically spotlighting women’s cultural contributions during the final weekend of Women’s History Month – complete with a mayoral proclamation.

Several of our Rose City’s talented artists will be showcased through live performances and visual art installations.  Whether you love film, visual art, music, crafts or the performing arts, we invite you to celebrate this historic day with us as we showcase many of the Rose City’s talented artists and begin a new dialogue for women in the creative fields.
